Sprache ist ein flexibles Mittel inhaltsreicher Kommunikation, das oft wildfremden Sprechern den Gedankenaustausch über beliebige Themen erlaubt, das die arbeitsteilige Suche nach guten Gründen und Wahrheit befördert und das soziale Koordination und Kooperation ermöglicht.
Sprache ist jedoch auch ein Mittel, das wahrheitsfremde Überredung zulässt, Mittel zu Herabwürdigung bereitstellt, abwertende Generalmeinungen Vorschub leistet und zur sozialen Unterdrückung dienen kann.
Wir werden uns in diesem Seminar mit Sprache im zweiten Sinne beschäftigen – eben mit bad language. Dabei werden wir das neue Buch von Cappelen/Dever zum Ausgangspunkt nehmen und ggf. einzelne Themen anhand weiterer Literatur vertiefen.
Achtung! Bei der Diskussion von bad language werden wir zuweilen wirklich üble Ausdrücke in den Mund nehmen müssen. Dass diese Ausdrücke dabei gleichsam in Anführungszeichen vorkommen, nimmt ihnen leider nicht ihre anstößige, widerliche oder verstörende Wirkung. Bitte stellen Sie sich darauf ein, wenn Sie dieses Seminar besuchen.

Teilnehmerbegrenzung:
DIES IST EIN FACHWISSENSCHAFTLICHES MASTER-SEMINAR.
An diesem Seminar können insgesamt maximal 10 Bachelor- und Master of Education-Studierende teilnehmen. Für alle Studierenden, die regulär im fachw. Master Philosophie eingeschrieben sind, gilt keine Teilnehmerbegrenzung.
Diese Veranstaltung ist konzipiert für Masterstudierende im Fach Philosophie. Bachelor-Studierende der Philosophie oder andere Studierende können nur teilnehmen, wenn sie das Anmeldeverfahren durchlaufen und eine Zusage des Dozierenden bekommen haben. Zur Anmeldung senden Sie der Veranstalterin/dem Veranstalter eine E-Mail mit Angabe Ihres Namens, des Fachsemesters in dem Sie sein werden und mit einer Begründung, warum Sie an diesem Seminar teilnehmen wollen. Sie erhalten rechtzeitig Bescheid, ob Sie an der Veranstaltung teilnehmen dürfen.
