Das MA Seminar fokussiert auf der deutschen Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Es nimmt Geschlechterverhältnisse im Film in der Weimarer Republik, der NS-Zeit und der BRD wie DDR in den Blick. Zunächst werden wir theoretische Literatur zu Geschlecht diskutieren, verstanden als zentrale Dimension historischen Handelns und historischer Analyse, sowie zu Film als einem wichtigen Medium, sich über die eigene Gesellschaft zu verständigen. Im Anschluss wwerden bekannte und weniger bekannte Filme diskutiert, die anhand dieser Sekundärliteratur aufgeschlüsselt werden.
