Im Seminar sollen nach einer Einführung in den Themenbereich geschlechtsspezifischer Gewalt in nahen Beziehungen (menschen-)rechtliche Grundlagen zum Gewaltschutz in ihrer Relevanz für die Beratungspraxis beleuchtet und eingeordnet werden. Ausgehend von Recht als einem Instrument zur Einschreibung von Herrschaft in Geschlechterverhältnisse soll dies zunächst historisch entlang der nationalen Gesetzgebung wie der internationalen menschenrechtlichen Konventionen zu geschlechtsspezifischer Gewalt in nahen Beziehungen unter Einbeziehung feministisch-rechtskritischer Positionen nachvollzogen werden. Daran anschließend lassen sich Fragestellungen entwickeln und diskutieren wie z.B.: Welches Verständnis von Geschlecht/ern bzw. gender liegt der nationalen Gesetzgebung bzw. den Menschenrechtskonventionen zugrunde bzw. welches wird durch sie geprägt? Welche Anwendungsspielräume eröffnet nationales Recht bzw. Menschenrechtskonventionen bei geschlechtsspezifischer Gewalt? Welche Bedeutung kommen (menschen-)rechtlichen Regelungen in einer geschlechterreflexiven Beratungspraxis zu?
