In diesem Seminar sollen grundlegende Theorien zu Kindheit, Jugend und Armut vorgestellt werden. Anschließend sollen nationale und internationale Studien zu Armut in Kindheit und Jugend bearbeitet werden. So soll Armut im Lebenslauf und in den Lebenswelten von Kindern in Familie, Schule und Freizeit differenziert betrachtet werden. Im letzten Teil werden unterschiedliche Begriffe und Diskussionen um Armut in Kindheit und Jugend erneut aufgegriffen und diskutiert.
