230523 Die Sagenkreise der griechisch-römischen Mythologie in Literatur und Kunst (S) (SoSe 2019)

Das Seminar beschäftigt sich mit den zentralen Sagenkreisen der griechisch-römischen Mythologie, einerseits in ihrer Darstellung in der römischen Literatur und andererseits in ihrer Widerspiegelung in der antiken und späteren bildenden Kunst (Plastik, Vasenbilder, Wandmalereien und Gemälde). Fokussiert werden soll dabei die Frage, ob und in welcher Weise die künstlerische Darstellung den in der Literatur dargestellten Mythen neue Sichtweisen verliehen hat und was hierbei die Intention der jeweiligen Kunstschaffenden bzw. ihrer Auftraggeber gewesen sein mag.
