This seminar is intended as an introduction to the rich spectrum of Cultural Ecostudies with a specific focus on environmentalism, environmental history, literary, philosophical nature awareness, and cultural production. It is a collaboration between Ann Fisher-Wirth (chair of environmentalist studies at the University of Mississippi, poet, and scholar) and Wilfried Raussert. The participants analyze theoretical, literary, visual and performative texts ( e.g. graphic novel, film, events). Keep in mind that this seminar includes two larger block sessions on two Saturdays in May and an additional public poetry reading.
