Die Übung "Public Policy" führt in die Grundbegriffe, theoretischen Konzeptionalisierungen und Techniken der Politikfeldanalyse ein. Sie thematisiert Besonderheiten der institutionellen Arrangements, Problemstellungen und Politikstile in unterschiedlichen Politikfeldern, insbesondere in der Politik der Inneren Sicherheit und der Energiepolitik. Anhand beispielhafter thematischer Vertiefungen werden die folgenden Fragestellungen verfolgt: Was sind inhaltliche Entscheidungen, Zielsetzungen und Aktivitäten in den Politikfeldern? Welche Faktoren befördern oder beschränken eine Weiterentwicklung in den Feldern? Welche Konzepte gibt es Politiken zu analysieren?
