Die Zukunft der Europäischen Union ist umstritten wie selten zuvor. Anlass zur Debatte bieten einerseits aktuelle europapolitische Termine (Brexit, Europawahlen, Neubesetzung europäischer Ämter), andererseits neue politische Kräfte mit jeweils völlig unterschiedlichen Perspektiven auf die europäische Integration (Syriza, En Marche, Lega). Das Seminar sieht vor, Zukunftspläne und Reformvorschläge vor dem Hintergrund aktueller Entwicklungen in der Europäischen Union zu diskutieren. Dazu werden im ersten Teil wichtige Grundlagen zur Funktionsweise der EU vermittelt, um im zweiten Teil Reden, Statements, Interviews, etc. analysieren und einordnen zu können. Das Seminar ist debattenintensiv angelegt, sodass Studierende Gelegenheit zur Entwicklung ihrer argumentativen Fähigkeit haben.
