230597 Deutsche in der brasilianischen Literatur: ein Kapitel in der Kulturgeschichte des Deutschen als das Fremde (S) (WiSe 2017/2018)

Die Erfahrung des gemeinsamen Lebens in der Vielfalt prägt zutiefst die Geschichte Brasiliens. Im Verlauf der beschleunigten Globalisierung wanderten im 19. und zu Beginn des 20. Jahr-hunderts Hunderttausende Menschen u.a. vom deutschsprachigen Europa nach Brasilien ein. Aus verschiedenen Gründen unterhielten ihrerseits auch brasilianische Schriftsteller einen regen Kontakt mit der deutschen Sprache und Kultur. Die Folgen und Komplexität der damit verbundenen Bewegungs- und Aushandlungsprozesse schlugen sich in Werken der brasilia-nischen Literatur nieder. Die Auseinandersetzung mit diesem Stoff wirft für die insterdiszi¬pli-näre Zusammenarbeit von romanistischer und germanistischer Literaturwissenschaft verschiedene Fragen auf. Deutsche Elemente im Spiegel brasilianischer literarischer Texte zu beschreiben und darüber zu reflektieren ist das Ziel dieses Seminars.
