From teen sexting to online sexual communities, media technologies are reshaping the practices and parameters of our gendered and sexual lives. In this class, we will become familiar with the theoretical groundings of feminist digital media studies as well as contemporary research perspectives on new materialisms and new media. The course will include perspectives from critical race theory, queer theory, and transnational feminism.
