250310 "Mach was aus Dir!" - Jugend als Phase der Selbstoptimierung? (S) (SoSe 2019)

Zunächst erfolgt eine Annäherung an die Lebensphase zwischen Kindheit und dem Erwachsenen sein, welche Jugend als soziales Konstrukt versteht.
Im Zuge genereller gesellschaftlicher Individualisierungsschübe und -tendenzen sowie den damit zusammenhängenden vielfältigen Wahl- und Entfaltungsmöglichkeiten ist eine zunehmende Entgrenzung, Pluralisierung und Ausdifferenzierung der Lebensphase Jugend verbunden. Ein Mehr an Entscheidungs- und Lebensoptionen bedeutet zugleich auch die Notwendigkeit, sich zu entscheiden, sich zu positionieren, dem eigenen Leben Sinn zu verleihen und den "richtigen Weg" zu wählen. Dabei gehen wir im Seminar u.a. der Frage der nach, welche Bedeutung gesellschaftliche Prozesse der Bildungsoptimierung und Möglichkeiten der Selbstmodellierung und -inszenierung für die Ausgestaltung von Jugend in der Gegenwart besitzt.
Ziel des Seminars ist es, eine Annäherung an Jugend(en) im 21. Jahrhundert zu ermöglichen und die Ambivalenzen dieser Lebensphase auszuloten.
