Das Seminar versteht sich als Einführungsveranstaltung in die Geschichte der soziologischen Theorien. Im Zentrum steht die Lektüre und Diskussion grundlegender, leicht verständlicher Texte etwa von Spencer, Marx, Durkheim, Simmel, Weber, Thomas, Mannheim, Dahrendorf und Marcuse. Vorab führt der Dozent in den jeweiligen historischen Kontext ein.

Requirements for participation, required level

Das Seminar wendet sich vor allem an Studienanfänger und Studierende des zweiten Studienjahres ohne Vorkenntnisse in der Geschichte der Soziologie.
