Für dieses Seminar werden wir das Typoskript eines Buches zugrundelegen, welches im Sommer publiziert werden soll. Der Titel: Religion – Dispositionen – Gesellschaftsstruktur. Werkzeuge zum Verstehen religiöser Praxis.

Das Buch skizziert die Grundlinien der auf Bourdieus allgemeiner Soziologie (weniger auf seiner Religionssoziologie) basierenden Religionstheorie mit innovativen Theorieansätzen zu Identität und Strategie, und zwar im Zusammenhang einer eigens entwickelten Methode zur empirischen Forschung.

Die im Buch bewusst knapp skizzierten inhaltlichen Linien verdanken sich Weiterentwicklungen der Praxiswissenschaft Pierre Bourdieus im Laufe von vier Jahrzehnten soziologischer Forschung, die bislang in drei umfangreichen Büchern niedergelegt ist. Im Typoskript wird immer wieder auf diese Bücher verwiesen, sodass Sie bei Bedarf bestimmte thematische Linien im Detail weiterverfolgen können.
