361011 Die ökumenische Bewegung an der Schwelle des 21. Jahrhunderts (S) (SoSe 2007)

Globalisierung, Neuverteilung der Arbeit, zunehmende Menschenrechtsverletzungen, Milleniumziele, HIV /AIDS, Fundamentalismus, religiös motivierte Gewalt, interne und externe Migrationsströme sind einige der Probleme, denen die Menschheit und so auch die Kirchen an der Schwelle zum 21. Jh. gegenüberstehen.
In diesem Seminar werden wir uns ansehen, wie die Kirchen auf diese Herausforderungen reagieren. Dies beinhaltet zunächst einen Rückblick auf die Entstehungsgeschichte, dann eine Gegenwartsanalyse und schließlich sollen Perspektiven für die Zukunft der ökumenischen Bewegung erarbeitet werden.
Zu Beginn des Seminars werden wir gemeinsam eine Auswahl der zu lesenden Werke vornehmen. An zwei Terminen wird der Unterricht auf Blöcke gelegt, um bestimmte Fragestellungen intensiver behandeln zu können. Hierfür bleiben dann eine Reihe von Montagen seminarfrei.
