Die historische Kontextualisierung vom Montagnachmittag stellt eine Einheit mit dem Seminar: Die sexuelle Revolution der Frühen Neuzeit vom Montag vormittag dar. Es wird erwartet, dass die Studierenden beide Veranstaltungen besuchen. Die Sitzung am Nachmittag dient dazu, Verständnisschwierigkeiten aus dem Seminar vertieft zu diskutieren und die in der Seminarsitzung herausgearbeiteten Thesen und Entwicklungen mit Hilfe von ergänzenden Quellen und Literatur zu veranschaulichen bzw. kritisch zu beleuchten. Im letzten Drittel der Historischen Kontextualisierung werden die Studierenden zu einzelnen Aspekten, die sie im Rahmen ihrer Hausarbeiten behandeln und schriftlich ausarbeiten wollen, Vorträge von je 20 Minuten halten und dabei insbesondere das Konzept ihrer Hausarbeit (Fragestellung, These, Quellen- und Fachliteratur) vorstellen und mit den SeminarteilnehmerInnen diskutieren.
