Die eigenständige Entwicklung mathematischer Beweise ist eine Kernkompetenz in der Mathematik. Im Gegensatz zum Nachvollziehen mathematischer Schlüsse, wie sie beispielsweise in einer Vorlesung vorgestellt werden, verlangt die Entwicklung eines Beweises nach einer Reihe von Techniken und Problemlösestrategien.
In der Vorlesung Methoden der Mathematik stellen wir den zugehörigen mathematischen „Werkzeugkasten“ anhand von Fragestellungen vor, die eng mit den Anfängervorlesungen verknüpft sind. Es werden wichtige Beweistechniken und Strategien zum Finden einer zielführenden Beweisidee vermittelt.
Wir zeigen, wie aus einer Idee ein formal korrekt aufgeschriebener mathematischer Beweis wird. Hierbei ist es wichtig, eine anschauliche Vorstellung von abstrakten Begriffen zu entwickeln. Zur Vertiefung der mathematischen Vorstellungskraft visualisieren wir abstrakte Konzepte und Aussagen mithilfe interaktiver Computergrafiken.
