Platons Dialog "Phaidon" gehört zu den klassischen Grundtexten der Philosophie des Geistes. In ihm entwirft Platon seine Theorie der Seele und entwickelt vier berühmte Argumente, die zeigen sollen, dass unsere Seele unsterblich ist. Diese Argumente sind nicht nur für sich genommen spannend, sondern machen auch Grundoptionen in der Frage deutlich, wie sich unser Geist zu unserem Körper verhält.
Wir werden uns im Seminar im Detail mit Platons Text, seinen Ideen und Argumenten auseinandersetzen.
Die empfohlene Textausgabe ist die unten aufgeführte, von Barbara Zimmermann besorgte Ausgabe.
