Die Soziologie verwendet Handlung als Grundbegriff und hat darum Schwierigkeiten, die soziale Relevanz des bloßen Zuschauens zu fassen. Daher gibt es bis heute keine zusammenhängende Soziologie des Zuschauers. Einige verstreute Publikationen und Anregungen lassen sich immerhin auftreiben. Die geplante Übung soll sie vorstellen und mit Blick auf mögliche Theoriebildung diskutieren.
