Diskurs – ein Begriff, den Sie in Ihrem Studium häufig hören und lesen, aber unsicher sind, was genau gemeint sein könnte? Und wie geht das? In dieser Veranstaltung erarbeiten wir eine Perspektive auf den Diskursbegriff von Michel Foucault und lesen dazu sein (eher schmales) Werk "Die Ordnung des Diskurses". Anschließend entwickeln wir gemeinsam Möglichkeiten, die theoretischen Überlegungen im historischen Arbeiten umzusetzen. Diese Diskursanalyse wenden wir dann – in enger Abstimmung mit dem Seminar "Geschichte der Sexualität in den USA"(https://ekvv.uni-bielefeld.de/kvv_publ/publ/vd?id=104574205) – auf verschiedene historische Quellen des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts zu den zentralen Differenzkategorien Geschlecht, Sexualität, „Rasse“ u. a. an. Keine Angst vor Theorie und auch nicht vor der Praxis!

Achtung: Das Seminar findet zweiwöchentlich am 12.10., 26.10., 9.11., 23.11., 7.12., 21.12.2017, 11.1. und 25.1.2018 sowie an einem Blocktermin am Sa, 11.11.2017 von 10 bis 18 Uhr statt, an dem die Teilnahme selbstverständlich verpflichtend ist.
