Ziel des Tutoriums ist es, sich im gegenseitigen Miteinander mit den grundlegenden Anforderungen des Philosophiestudiums vertraut zu machen. Als besonders leseintensives Studium ist speziell die richtige Textarbeit ein unverzichtbarer Baustein im Umgang mit philosophischen Werken. So soll das Rekonstruieren von Argumenten klassischer Philosophielektüre zentraler Bestandteil des Tutoriums sein, in dem wir gemeinsam lesen und verstehen wollen, welche Thesen und Argumente sich aus den gewählten Texten extrahieren lassen.
Das Philosophiestudium lebt davon, eigene Texte zu produzieren. Daher ist es ein weiteres Anliegen, die Ansprüche des wissenschaftliches Schreibens kennenzulernen. Dazu gehören u.a.:
- Recherche
- Zitieren und Paraphrasieren (und Formalia allgemein)
- Themenfindung und -eingrenzung
- Umgang mit der wissenschaftlichen Sprache (Stil)
- Reflexion / Kritik fremder und eigener Überlegungen
