In this class, students will learn about the individual difference construct “intelligence”. We will expand basic knowledge from the lecture „Dimensionen der Persönlichkeit“ and deepen this knowledge in specific areas. We will focus on theoretical models and empirical correlates (e.g. gender, personality) and the sources of interindividual differences in intelligence. Furthermore, we will look at the development of intelligence from a life span perspective, cross-cultural differences and the role of intelligence in the prediction of performance.
This class is recommended for B.Sc. Psychology students in their second year of studies.
