Folgende Inhalte werden im Seminar besprochen:
- Diskriminierung & Sexismus in der Werbung
- Darstellung von sexualisierter Gewalt in Medienberichten
- Repräsentation von Geschlecht in Filmen & Serien

Die Zuteilung der Plätze erfolgt durch eine gemeinsame Vorbesprechung aller Seminare im R-Modul. Der genaue Termin wird noch bekannt gegebe.
Das Seminar wird auf Deutsch abgehalten, aber sehr gute Englischkentnisse (mindestens B2) sind Grundvoraussetzung für die Teilnahme. Der Großteil der Medieninhalte die besprochen werden ist auf Englisch und ein Verständnis dieser wird vorausgesetzt.

Es wird erwartet, dass alle TeilnehmerInnen in der Lage sind, sich an den Diskussionen über die Lektüre aktiv und regelmäßig zu beteiligen.
Als Nachweis für eine aktive Teilnahme ist eine regelmäßige Präsenz in der Lehrveranstaltung erforderlich. Ebenso müssen hierzu die Zeitschriftenartikel wöchentlich gelesen und Aufgaben vorbereitet werden.
