In dem Seminar steht das Themenfeld „Arbeit“ im Mittelpunkt der fachdidaktischen Untersuchung und Umsetzung. In Abstimmung auf die Fragenkreise des Kernlehrplans der Sek I und der Inhaltsfelder und Kompetenzen des Kernlehrplanes der Sek II werden verschiedene Aspekte dieses Themenfeldes (z.B. Arbeit und Gerechtigkeit, Arbeit und Geschlecht, Arbeit und Familie, Arbeit als anthropologische Bestimmung) auf ihre Verwendung im schulischen Kontext hin erarbeitet und in schulpraktischen Versuchen erprobt.
Das Seminar steht in engem Zusammenhang mit dem Fachseminar „Arbeit aus sozialphilosophischer Perspektive“ (261044, Fr.Golus), in welchem grundlegende Texte und Theorien aus fachphilosophischer Perspektive erarbeitet werden. Ein gleichzeitiger Besuch dieses Seminars ist mithin dringend zu empfehlen.
