In diesem Seminar werden grundlegende sprachsystematische Kenntnisse zur Phonologie und Graphematik vermittelt. So wird das grundlegende Wissen für die kritische Beurteilung und eigenständige Planung einer wissenschaftlich fundierten Lese- und Rechtschreibdidaktik für die Grundschule erworben.

Das Seminar kann grundsätzlich von allen Studierenden der Sprachlichen Grundbildung belegt werden. Es gilt als Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an dem Berufsfeldpraktikum zur Lese- und Rechtschreibförderung, das ab dem WS 16/17 angeboten wird, und muss daher von allen Schwerpunktstudierenden absolviert werden. Das genannte Berufsfeldpraktikum ist ebenfalls verpflichtend für alle Studierenden mit dem Schwerpunktfach Sprachliche Grundbildung. Verbleibende Praktikumsplätze können von Studierenden mit dem Schwerpunkt Integrierte Sonderpädagogik belegt werden, die zuvor diese Veranstaltung besucht haben.
