Reformpädagogik wird im erziehungswissenschaftlichen Diskurs auf verschiedenen Ebenen betrachtet: zum einen werden pädagogisch-professionelle Programmatiken in ihrer Entstehung zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts in den Blick genommen, zum anderen verweist der Begriff auf Institutionen, welche auch in der Gegenwart ein reformpädagogisch inspiriertes Verständnis vom Kind, vom Lernen und pädagogischer Professionalität vertreten.
Im Seminar werden wir uns zunächst kritisch mit den Programmen und Ideen ausgewählter Vertreter:innen der historischen Reformpädagogik auseinandersetzen. Neben normativen Vorstellungen vom Kind und Eugenik stehen das professionelle Selbstverständnis im Spannungsverhältnis von Nähe und Distanz in unterschiedlichen Changierungen im Mittelpunkt des Seminares. Abschließend widmen wir uns der Transformtion reformpädagogischer Ideen in die Gegenwart.

Die Prüfungsleistung kann in Form einer Hausarbeit oder einer mündlichen Prüfung erbracht werden.
Die Studienleistung kann über das Verfassen von drei Schreibaufgaben mit einer kurzen Präsentation in Kleingruppen erstellt werden.
