The seminar invites students to contribute to topics focusing on current topics in psycholinguistic research, with a special focus on linguistic creativity (https://www.uni-bielefeld.de/sfb/sfb1646/). It welcomes ideas for studies dealing with psycholinguistic questions regarding speech and language production and perception in diverse speaker groups. Participants will develop an experiment based on their own research idea. This could be a pilot or norming study in preparation for a larger study. During the weekly meetings, we will discuss relevant literature (primarily from a methodological perspective), as well as participants' project progress and next steps.
Necessary: Knowledge of research methods and statistical analysis of data, i.e. the contents of module 23-LIN-Ma2.1 are assumed.
Recommended: It is strongly recommended that students attend the modules 23-LIN-MaPL and 23-LIN-Ma2.3 beforehand or at the same time.
Relevant articles and book chapters will be disseminated at the beginnging of the seminar and from week to week.
