Der römische Autor Apuleius hat uns den einzig bekannten und vollständig überlieferten Roman der lateinischen Literatur überlassen:

Apuleius läßt seinen Protagonisten durch Griechenland reisen, immer auf der Suche nach einer guten Geschichte und Magie, durch die der Icherzähler Lucius im dritten Buch in einen Esel verwandelt wird und bis ins 11. Buch Abenteuer als eben dieses Tier erlebt. Gespickt ist dieser Roman mit vielen raffiniert erzählten Novellen. Eine sehr bekannte ist die Erzählung von Psyche und Amor, die auch im Seminar gelesen werden soll.
Im Seminar wollen die Erzählkunst analysieren und untersuchen, Apuleius die Gattung 'Roman' interpretiert.

Wir lesen alles in deutscher Übersetzung.
