In diesem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit Verschwörungstheorien und schauen uns Konzepte wie Fake News / Desinformation im Vergleich an. Die Studierenden lernen, welche psychologischen Mechanismen dem Glauben an Verschwörungstheorien zugrunde liegen, was sie so stabil macht, welche Bedürfnisse sie erfüllen etc. Im Zuge dessen werden Inhalte aus den Bereichen Persuasion, Informationsverarbeitung und Gruppenprozessen aufgegriffen und vertieft. Weiterhin setzt sich das Seminar mit bekannten Verschwörungstheorien und ihren Narrativen auseinander. Interventionsmöglichkeiten und -konzepte werden ebenfalls aufgegriffen und diskutiert.

Empfohlen wird der erfolgreiche Abschluss der Module 27-AF-AO1, 27-GF-Soz, 27-GM-Stat und 27-GF-Diff.

Zur Erreichung der Lernziele und für die Vergabe von Leistungspunkten sind folgende Anforderungen mit dem Seminar verbunden:
- eine regelmäßige, aktive und themenfokussierte Teilnahme an Diskussionen im Plenum und in Kleingruppen sowie an den Gruppenarbeiten
- Beantwortung von vertiefenden Fragen zur Veranstaltung oder Abgabe von Gruppenarbeiten
Für die benotete Einzelleistung ist die Erarbeitung einer Intervention sowie einer damit verbundenen kurzen Ausarbeitung erforderlich.
