311534 Microeconomics III (V) (WiSe 2026/2027)

The aim of this course is to provide students with a deep understanding of political economy and a solid command of the field’s main analytical tools. We will study how institutions shape collective decision-making and how societies aggregate conflicting preferences and dispersed information. The course covers topics ranging from foundational social choice theory to current research in political economy, including both empirical contributions and state-of the-art theoretical models.

Microeconomics 1 (1a and 1b) and 2 (2a and 2b) are recommended.
