LehrerInnen sind in ihrem Beruf nicht nur für eigenen Unterricht verantwortlich, sie sollen darüber hinaus an der Verbesserung der pädagogischen Arbeit der ganzen Schule mitarbeiten. Für die schulische Mitwirkung über die Unterrichtspraxis hinaus sind folgende Fragen von Bedeutung: Nach welchen Prinzipien verändert sich das Schulsystem als Ganzes und verändern sich auch die Einzelschulen? Wie können Sie als Lehrkraft sich in die Veränderung von Schule wirksam einbringen? Welche theoretischen Vorstellungen für die Mitwirkung und für Veränderungsprozesse gibt es? Im Seminar werden unterschiedliche Theorien der Schulentwicklung behandelt und auf konkrete Fälle aus der Schulpraxis bezogen. Theorien zur Analyse werden für die konkrete Schulentwicklungsarbeit von Einzelschulen genutzt. Studierende sollen dabei Kompetenzen im Hinblick auf die Fähigkeit erwerben, sich später in der Schulentwicklung kompetenzt zu beteiligen.

Interesse an der eigenen Professionalisierung wird vorausgesetzt sowie die Motivation, Theorien kritisch auf Fallbeschreibungen aus der Praxis anzuwenden.

Die Aktive Teilnahme wird erbracht: a) Teilnahme an allen Blockseminartagen, b) Mitarbeit in einer Arbeitsgruppe c) Präsentation einer Ausarbeitung zur Schulentwicklung im Seminar. Die Studierenden zeigen, dass sie theoretische Ansätze anwenden und Beispiele von Schulentwicklung reflektieren können.
