In diesem Modul werden verschiedene grundlegende Methoden und Konzepte erlernt, um die Rolle der Organismen im aquatischen Nahrungsnetz zu verstehen. Durch die Untersuchung ausgewählter Organismengruppen geben wir einen Einblick in die Regulation (bottom up vs top down) des Nahrungsnetzes. Ausgewählte Manipulationsversuche in Mesokosmen sollen dazu dienen, bestehende Modelle zu überprüfen bzw. Möglichkeiten der Biomanipulationen kennen zu lernen. Darüber hinaus werden physikalisch-chemische Parameter erhoben, um die Bedeutung abiotischer Parameter abzuschätzen.
