230371 Römische Wertvorstellungen: Seneca, Epistulae morales (S) (SoSe 2016)

Contents, comment

Seneca stellt in den Briefe an Lucilius die stoische Philosophie sukzessive und in didaktischer Präsentation dar. Jeder Brief entspricht einer kleinen Einheit und enthält ein Haupt- und ein Nebenthema. Beginnend mit kurzen Briefen über lebensweltliche Themen wie Zeit, Freundschaft, Alter etc. wenden sich die späteren Briefe komplexeren Fragestellungen zu.

Im Seminar werden wir die Briefe zunächst bis Ep. 6 sukzessive lesen, danach weitere Briefe in Auswahl.
