Entgegen dem gesellschaftlich weit verbreiteten Glauben an Chancengleichheit nach dem meritokratischen Prinzip zeigt sich ein stabiler Zusammenhang zwischen der sozialen Herkunft und den Bildungschancen junger Menschen.

In diesem Seminar setzen wir uns kritisch mit der Rolle von Bildungsinstitutionen als Ort der (Re-)Produktion von sozialer Ungleichheit und Macht auseinander. Auf der Grundlage zentraler Befunde der Hochschulforschung und ungleichheitstheoretischer Perspektiven werden Bildungsprozesse in den Blick genommen.
