230599 Dante Alighieri, La divina commedia / Göttliche Komödie (BS) (SoSe 2026)

Die sog. Göttliche Komödie des italienischen Dichters Dante Alighieri, entstanden zwischen 1307 und 1321, gilt sowohl als Meisterwerk der italienischen Literatur wie auch der Weltliteratur insgesamt. In der Ich-Form beschreibt Dante nachgerade gewagt seine imaginäre Reise durch die drei Reiche des Jenseits: Hölle, Fegefeuer und Paradies. Als Reise-Führer dient ihm dabei u.a. der römische Dichter Vergil. Auf dem Weg treffen Dante und seine Reise-Führer auf zahllose Seelen von Verstorbenen, u.a. die römischen Dichter Horaz und Ovid, die von ihrem jeweiligen Schicksal berichten.

Ziel des Seminars wird es sein, diesem ebenso eigenartigen wie brillanten Werk Dantes in all seinen relevanten Facetten genauer nachzuspüren.
