Handlungsorientierung gilt als ein zentrales Grundprinzip des modernen Fremdsprachenunterrichts: Lernende sollen dazu befähigt werden, die Fremdsprache in authentischen und bedeutungsvollen Handlungssituationen zu verwenden. Vor diesem Hintergrund geht das Seminar der Frage nach, wie Handlungsorientierung konkret umgesetzt werden kann.

Nach einer Auseinandersetzung mit den Grundlagen des handlungsorientierten Fremdsprachenunterrichts führen die Teilnehmenden zwei Unterrichtsbeobachtungen mit dem Schwerpunkt Handlungsorientierung in einem Integrations- oder Berufssprachkurs durch. Auf dieser Basis entwickeln sie eine vertiefende Unterrichtseinheit zu einem in den Hospitationen behandelten Thema, die sich an den Prinzipien der Handlungsorientierung orientiert. Anschließend führen sie diese Unterrichtseinheit im hospitierten Kurs durch.

Die regelmäßige Teilnahme am Seminar sowie das Lesen von Fachtexten zur Sitzungsvorbereitung werden vorausgesetzt.
