This seminar offers an introduction to the theoretical underpinnings and practical applications of electromagnetic articulography (EMA). Students will read experimental studies using EMA and develop their own research questions and hypotheses. They will also gain hands-on experience of using EMA during the practical (block) part of the seminar. The seminar is designed to provide students with the conceptual understanding and practical skills required to study speech articulation using EMA.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
