Der Begriff der Hysterie – wie er vor allem im vorletzten Jahrhundert aufkam (Freud, Charcot, Janet u.a.), aber schon wesentlich davor im ägypt.-griech.-röm. Kulturkreis verwendet wurde – wird in seinen Bedeutungen und Bedeutungsänderungen vorgestellt und anhand primär psychiatrischer Krankheitsbilder intensiv besprochen. Daneben werden verwandte Krankheitsbilder, einschl. solcher mit neurologischem Hintergrund, behandelt. Soziologische, kulturelle und biologische Perspektiven zu Hysterie und verwandten Krankheitsbildern werden vorgestellt

Das Seminar richtet sich primär an M.Sc. Hauptfachstudierende der Psychologie, die ein BSc Studium in Psychologie mit Schwerpunkten im Bereich der Neurowissenschaften absolviert haben
