Die philosophische Handlungstheorie nimmt eine Brückenstellung zwischen theoretischer und praktischer Philosophie ein. Handlungen sind zum einen ein wichtiger Teil der Welt, zum anderen bilden sie die Basis für normative Urteile. In dem Seminar werden wichtige moderne Beiträge zur Handlungstheorie gelesen und diskutiert. Es ist sinnvoll, das Seminar zugleich mit der Vorlesung „Philosophische Handlungstheorie“ zu besuchen, dies ist aber nicht zwingend erforderlich. Im kommenden Sommersemester 2016 wird ein ergänzendes Seminar über „Philosophische Probleme und Eigentümlichkeiten in der Handlungstheorie“ angeboten werden.
