Ausgehend von älteren und neueren Publikationen führt das Seminar zunächst in verschiedene Forschungsfragen und -methoden der Geschichtsdidaktik ein und stellt Rahmenbedingungen und Kriterien guten Geschichtsunterrichts vor, auf deren Grundlage die Studierenden eigene Studienprojekte für das Praxissemester entwickeln. Erhebungs- und Auswertungsmethoden werden dabei unter fachspezifischen Gesichtspunkten beispielhaft eingeübt, ebenso eine Unterrichtsplanung, die reflektierende Elemente bereits in die Vorbereitung einbezieht.
