Thema dieser Übung Sprache ist der Ablass. Wir verfolgen, wie der Nachlass von Bußstrafen seit dem Hochmittelalter definiert und gehandhabt wurde. Anhand der Aufsätze aus dem unten genannten Sammelband erschließen wir, welche Formen die kirchliche Ablasszusagen in unterschiedlichen Zeiten hatten, in welchem Verhältnis sie zur Vorstellung des Fegefeuers als jenseitgem Ort der Bußleistung standen, und welche Konditionen Christen für die Zusage von Ablass jeweils erfüllen mussten. Zu fragen ist auch nach den Konjunkturen der Beliebtheit von Ablass in Frankreich über die Jahrhunderte.

Die Übung dient der Nutzung von Französischkenntnissen, die Sie aus der Schule oder aus anderen Kontexten mitbringen. Vorausgesetzt werden Französischkenntnisse, die etwa drei Jahren Französisch-Unterricht in der Schule entsprechen.
