Diese Veranstaltung versteht sich als Kontextualisierung zum Seminar „Italienische Renaissance“ und sollte idealerweise zusammen belegt werden.

In dieser Veranstaltung werden wir den Begriff „Renaissance“ breiter fassen und nach seinem Zweck fragen. Wer hat ihn wann zu welchem Zweck verwendet? Was schließt er ein, was schließt er aus? Lassen sich in einem vergleichenden Blick zur sogenannten „Nordischen Renaissance“ Unterschiede feststellen?

Die Teilnahme am Kurs setzt eine Bereitschaft zur genauen Lektüre und Bildbetrachtung voraus.
