In dieser Werkstatt werden verschiedene Herangehensweisen an räumliches Gestalten thematisiert und ausprobiert. Über experimentelle Aufgabenstellung werden spielerische Zugänge geschaffen.
Dinge werden gedreht und gewendet, um dabei neue Perspektiven zu entdecken. Ein einzelnes Objekt wird genau untersucht. Von seinen Eigenschaften ausgehend werden verschiedene Verarbeitungen und Inszenierungen durchgespielt. Räumliche Wahrnehmung wird in Zeichnung übersetzt. Von einem vorhandenen Raum ausgehend werden künstlerische Strategien der räumlichen Gestaltung entwickelt.
Gearbeitet wird mit vorhandenen Dingen, Fundstücken, Gips, Draht, Papier und anderen Materialien. Im Laufe des Semesters entsteht ein Werkstattbuch, das die gestalterischen Prozesse dokumentiert.
