241028 Mathematical Modelling and Simulation with Comsol Multiphysics (V) (SoSe 2015)

Contents, comment

In this lecture we give an introduction into mathematical modelling
by partial differential equations. From physical principles we derive
several types of partial differential equations (as e.g. heat equations,
reaction-diffusion equations, wave equations, Navier-Stokes
equations and possibly further equations) and discuss some applications.
In the computational part of the lecture we briefly introduce the
simulation software Comsol-Multiphysics and implement a series of examples
with the aid of this CAE-software.

Diese Veranstaltung wird bei Bedarf in Englisch gehalten.

Diese Veranstaltung kann in Verbindung mit einer 2+1-stündigen
Veranstaltung "Qualitative Analysis of PDE Models" im
Wintersemester 15/16 auch für die Module 24-M-SV1-ND verwendet werden.
