Es gibt in jeder philosophischen Diskussion einige Texte, an denen man nicht vorbeikommt, weil in ihnen neue Ideen entwickelt, Debatten einen entscheidenden Schritt vorangebracht und/oder Theorien vernichtend kritisiert werden. In diesem Seminar werden wir Texte lesen, die für die Moralphilosophie seit dem Zweiten Weltkrieg eine solche zentrale Rolle spielen. Der thematische Schwerpunkt liegt dabei in diesem Semester auf dem Gebiet der Metaethik. Wir werden die Texte intensiv gemeinsam durcharbeiten und uns dabei für die meisten Texte mehr als eine Sitzung Zeit lassen. Der überwiegende Teil der Texte ist englischsprachig und der Diskussion wird das jeweilige Original zugrundeliegen.
Im Wintersemester 14/15 gab es eine Vorgängerveranstaltung "Moderne Klassiker der Moralphilosophie 1", deren Besuch keine Voraussetzung für den Besuch der Veranstaltung in diesem Semester ist.
