Prekarität und Unsicherheit wohin man sieht: In diesen Zeiten fragt Martha Nussbaum (erneut) mit Aristoteles nach dem Guten Leben (für alle). im Mittelpunkt ihrer Antwort steht der Problemkomplex des fähig sein, befähigt werden, sich selbst befähigen.
Martha Nussbaums und Amartya Sens Capability Approach hat wie kaum ein anderer Ansatz in jüngster Vergangenheit dazubeigetragen, daß die Fragen nach dem fähig sein, dem fähig werden erneut intra und interdisziplinär gestellt wird.
Dies gilt auch für die pädagogische Disziplin und Profession, wie die erziehungswissenschaftliche Forschung. In diesem Seminar werden nun zum einen grundliegende Kenntnisse des Capability Approaches vermittelt werden, zum anderen werden auch aktuelle Auseinandersetzungen mit und um den Capability Approach thematisiert.
