Dieses Seminar hat sowohl die Erarbeitung theoretischer Grundlagen der Erwachsenen- und Weiterbildung als die Diskussion von praktischen Konsequenzen zum Ziel. Zur Annäherung erfolgt ein Überblick über unterschiedliche theoretische Zugänge. Auf dieser Basis wird die Auseinandersetzung mit pädagogischen Konstruktivismen fokussiert. Die Entwicklung und Übersetzung von konstruktivistischen Theorien in das Professionsfeld Weiterbildung hat in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten zu einer lerntheoretischen Diskussion angeregt, die insbesondere das Verhältnis zwischen erkennendem Subjekt und dessen (Um-)Welt thematisiert. Theorie-Praxisbezüge werden hinsichtlich von unterschiedlichen pädagogischen Handlungsfeldern diskutiert.
Das Seminar wird vorwiegend als Lektürekurs umgesetzt. In diesem Sinne wird erwartet, dass sich die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer regelmäßig und aktiv am Seminar beteiligen und bereit sind in einen Text einzuführen und eine Diskussion anzuregen.
