Mythen und mythologische Erzählungen bilden einen wichtigen Bestandteil in der römischen Dichtung. Wir wollen uns im Seminar damit beschäftigen, welche Mythen wie in der römischen und innerhalb der römischen Literatur rezipiert werden. Am Anfang werden wir uns eine theoretische Grundlage zum Begrif "Mythos" erarbeiten. Ausflüge in die griechische Literatur sowie in die Neuzeit und Moderne sind beabsichtigt.
