(Post-)Koloniale Strukturen prägen unser Denken und unsere gesellschaftlichen Positionen. Das Seminar geht ihnen auf die Spur, indem es die Geschichte des Kolonialismus und der Dekolonialisierung aufgreift, die (kolonialen) Otheringsprozesse und rassifizierende Narrative und Bezeichnungspraxen diskutiert und so zur Analyse von Machtverhältnissen und ihren wechselnden politischen Kontexten einlädt.
Die Bereitschaft, englischsprachige Texte zu lesen, wird vorausgesetzt.
