ENGLISH:
In this online course, students will work on translating Pedagogical Easy-to-Read books by Sabira Stahlberg from English into German. These innovative books, developed by Team Bokpil, combine factual content with pedagogical strategies. They foster reading skills, memory, problem-solving, multiliteracy, and active engagement. The course provides insight into literary translation, multilingual publishing, and inclusive education.
Students will engage in collaborative translation and proofreading, gain experience with interlinear and literary translation methods, and may also take part in preparing books for print. In addition to group work, participants are welcome to bring their own translation or creative writing projects.
This course encourages multilingual exchange and welcomes students who want to experiment with Easy-to-read literature. English proficiency at B1 level or higher is recommended.

GERMAN / DEUTSCH:
In diesem Kurs übersetzen Studierende Pädagogisch Leicht Lesbare Bücher der Autorin Sabira Stahlberg aus dem Englischen ins Deutsche. Diese innovativen Bücher, entwickelt vom Team Bokpil, verbinden sachliche Inhalte mit pädagogischem Anspruch. Sie fördern Lesekompetenz, Gedächtnis, Problemlösungsfähigkeiten, Mehrschriftlichkeit sowie aktives Mitdenken und Handeln.
Die Teilnehmenden arbeiten gemeinsam an Übersetzungen und Lektoraten, lernen interlineare und literarische Übersetzungsmethoden kennen und können sich bei der Buchproduktion bis zum Druck einbringen. Eigene Übersetzungs- oder Schreibprojekte können ebenfalls vorgestellt und diskutiert werden.
Der Kurs bietet einen offenen Raum für mehrsprachigen Austausch und richtet sich an alle, die sich für barrierearme, inklusive Literatur engagieren möchten. Willkommen sind motivierte Studierende mit Englischkenntnissen ab Niveau B1.

Requirements for participation, required level

Notwendige Voraussetzungen: FsB vom 15.11.2023 (Einschreibung ab SoSe 2023)
Vor dem Besuch der Veranstaltungen in den Profilmodulen muss der Language Proficiency Test (23-ANG-Basis1) bestanden sein. Im Master of Education gilt diese Voraussetzung mit dem erfolgreichen Masterzugang als erbracht.
