Die Vorlesung beschäftigt sich mit den Wechselwirkungen zwischen der Einkommens- bzw. Vermögensverteilung und wirtschaftlichem Wachstum. Mittels des methodischen Instrumentariums der dynamischen Wirtschaftstheorie (Ramsey-Ökonomie, Generationenmodelle) und gestützt auf empirische Evidenz wird unter anderem der Einfluß von Humankapitalakkumulationsentscheidungen, unvollkommenen Kapitalmärkten, staatlicher Umverteilungspolitik, politischen Abstimmungsprozessen und soziopolitischer Instabilität auf volkswirtschaftliche Wachstumsprozesse und die zugehörige Verteilungsdynamik untersucht.
